A new study reveals that 8 of the top 11 veterinary schools in the United States have begun implementing far-left race-based concepts such as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
As Fox News reports, the website CriticalRace.org monitors the teaching of CRT in schools, and has recently expanded its criteria to include veterinary schools in addition to other forms of higher education. The survey reveals that four of the 11 schools have made it mandatory for students to undergo such training and curriculum, while eight have mandatory training for staff and faculty, and six have implemented DEI in their hiring processes. Furthermore, seven of the schools have tools in place for students to report “incidents of bias” or “violations of inclusivity” to school authorities.
“If veterinary schools think they are advancing racial justice by embedding racial group identity politics into training, they are barking up the wrong tree,” says William A. Jacobson, the founder of CriticalRace.org.
“Nothing shocks us anymore about the push to inject CRT/DEI into education, but we didn’t expect that it would be so aggressive in veterinary schools,” Jacobson continues. “The ideological capture of top veterinary schools demonstrates that CRT/DEI is not about pet care, it’s about controlling people with ideology. It’s not like the patients are howling for their doctors to be social justice warriors.”
Jacobson is currently a Clinical Professor of Law at Cornell Law School, and is also the founder of the website Legal Insurrection.
The study compiled information from U.S. News’ list of the “Top 10 Veterinary Schools,” but features 11 schools overall because the U.S. News list featured a tie. The 11 schools are: University of California Davis, North Carolina State University, Colorado State University, Cornell University, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, Ohio State University, University of Pennsylvania, Texas A&M University at College Station, and University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Critical Race Theory is the widely-debunked theory that all White people are automatically racist, and that America, as a nation founded by White people, is an inherently racist country. DEI is a loosely-defined series of guidelines that mandate the forced inclusion of various minorities, primarily non-White ethnicities, and people who choose to be something other than heterosexual.
